Is Modelbot secure? Our IT department has strict requirements on data security.
Absolutely! All communication between Modelbot and CPQ is powered by the secure OAuth 2.0 authorization code flow. We also support two-factor authentication, giving organizations the flexibility to enforce 2FA for everyone.
Modelbot also supports single sign-on (SSO) using Microsoft Entra.
Modelbot leverages a "Base Model" or "Base Rundown" to efficiently store information that remains constant or isn’t available in the master data.
Think of it as the backbone of your product structure—housing the GUI with question lists, sections of the part structure, and global constraints.

Where does Modelbot store my product data?
Product models and their related data live exclusively in CPQ. Modelbot only keeps them in memory during the building process.
